Over the year I've slowly built up my body physically and made myself mentally better. I don't have much evidence to back up my word, but I do have enough to show. Last summer I did nothing, but stay inside, watch anime, play video games, and sleep. During the course of the year I've learned how to be fit, stay fit, and keep a pace. I learned the confidence to work out and be more active.

Coincidently at the start of the year my parents set a goal for our family. Our family was supposed to be more active and learn to keep fit. At the beginning of the year I've had no exercise or workout plans. Although after what we've learned during the year, wether it be leadership, pace, initiative, or mentalty, my ways of looking at them have changed. Slowly I've been starting to hang out with friends more and go outside rather than stay inside and just call.

Building up my confidence and sometimes taking the role of a leader, like at one time, we had equipment and we were supposed to setup our own games. I took the role that everyone was too scared to play and just took initiative. What started as a 4v4 turned to a 12v12. One large game of ultimate.

Also I've started to get into the habit of working out. I'm not used to doing them yet and I've skipped some work out days, but I've been getting used to it slowly.

I think I should get atleast a B, but I hope I get an A+

From the last two months I've done more physical exercise then I have compared to the past years of my life. Not only have I been more physically intense, but been more socializing as well rather than stay in my room and game all day( I game all night C:). Although the weird exercising game that I made for myself I've done less often I wish to them more. I have friends who workout and tell me to go with them sometime, but never do. It's because we've lost touch over the time or forgot out promises. Not only that, but the hardest part of it all is getting into the habit. It's the challenge everyone gets or so they say, but it's certainly one of the hardest thing I've ever done. Even without the exercise I've been getting physically fit through other ways. I've done outside played basketball for hours on end, went outside and took walks when I noticed it was a sunny day, and I also went and hung out with friends doing sports. I've been doing progress little by little even without my main exercise, which was the punishment game. Although I haven't done the game in about 1 month I'm starting to get into it again. My schedule is tight and I'm not always free anymore so I hope that's also part of getting fit. I think I should get a B+.

Digital Evidence

I got lucky seeing how we're doing the blog posts today because recently I've been doing improvised work outs at home. After reading and skipping through some randomly knowledge of exercising the biggest problem I found was starting out. It's hard to start out because you're doing something that's out of the ordinary for you, but once you've successfully passed that point it becomes part of your daily routine. In the past I've tried to do exercising and workouts, but they all ended with complete failures. So here's how my past weekend was. Back in Thursday as I was falling asleep I was thinking on how to rid of my bad habits and be physically fit at the same time. As I drowned in my slumber I came up some type of punishment game for myself.

The games works to fit my level of fitness and this is how it goes. For every bad mouthed thing I said I decided to punish myself with one pushup. Then with every bad action I do I punish myself with 5 pushups. At the end of the day I get a certain amount of pushups. If I was perfect for the whole day (which hasn't happened yet) or have less than 5 punishups (What I call punish/pushups) I deserve myself by adding 10 pushups. On the first/trial day (Friday) I ended up doing 21 pushups. I'm a bad person :c. It seemed fun (not really) so I decided to keep going. On Saturday my family drove to Portland, Oregon so there wasn't that many things I've done which ended up me doing 9 pushups. The following day was Sunday. We decided to drive around the city for a few hours and went home and on Sunday I ended up doing 21 pushups again even though I did do some good deeds('_'). While I was in Portland the hotel I was staying had a pool and gym. My brother and I decided to stop by and do some of the weights that were there. I ended up 20's and to this day that I'm writing my arms still hurt a little. Total sleep time for the weekend: 16 hours. 6 hours of it is from night time and 10 hours is from the road trip. I'm sleep deprived (lol).

With this new system implemented into my life style I have an opportunity to be a fit even if only a little .

Guillermo, Christian /-=/Physical Education Assesment\=-\

During PE this year, how have you shown you are prepared and willing to participate  in a variety of activities?
I have tried the best of my ability to work hard during class.

On what days have you participated to your best effort and  why?
I try to do my best everyday. Although sometimes I felt sick like that one time and didn't participate at all due to sickness.  I try to participate everyday because I want to prove to myself that if I do something right and work hard at it I can be good at it rather than sitting lazing around all day with people trying to pep talk me to work harder and how I have more potential.

What days have been a struggle for you and why?
Sometimes I struggle with the fitness activities (like continous pushups) for the reason that I lack alot of stamina and that I don't have very much muscle.

How do you contribute to the overall success of the class?
I try to do what I do the best and when my friend doesn't really participate I try to get them to go along sometimes.

What kind of attitude do you bring and why?

I try to bring a serious attitude, but when I'm around friends I usually have fun instead.

How do you interact with other students in our class?
I talk to my classmates that I don't know well sometimes when I don't know something or need some help, but most of the times I talk with my friends if they're around.
Describe your participation during fitness days - have you been able to push yourself
physically?

Physically I push myself to the point where I see that I'm sweating and that I'm red minimumally and I go on the runs trying to build up my stamine.

What types of fitness activities do you enjoy the most?
I guess fitness wise I like going to the weight room because there's alot of options to choose from rather than a chosen workout or run.

What fitness goals do you have for the rest of the year?
Gain more muscle and build more stamina.

What does "leadership" mean to you?  Who are the best leaders in our class - why?
The ability to confidently guide your surrounding peers to the right area and making sure they're doing what they do properly. To be honest I don't see anyone doing that other than our TA's which isn't necessarily a bad thing because the class is out having fun doing the exercises properly.

What improvements would you like to make in PE by the end of the year?
I would've liked to engage in physical sports more in places other than choice. Soccer, basketball, handball, and dodgeball. Although in some areas are class might have some power players which may take up some time for other people who too wanted to play.

What are you the most proud of so far?
That I've been able to work hard so far and that I can work hard more for the rest of the year and so forth.

Finally, what letter grade A, B, C+, C, C- (gulp) best represents the effort you just described?
I would say 81% or a B because sometimes I know I can do better, but end up not doing it because I was too exausted. Also I could've led the other students at occasional points, but ended up not doing it and I've brought my gym strip everysingle day so far.
